All, who see the paintings of Peter Mitchev, regardless if they have specialized training in the field of plastic perception, will find out that they are observing the creative art of an exceptional artist.

He is one of the young generation Bulgarian artists, but it should be said - he is not one among them, but outside and above them.

Furthermore, Bulgaria is a country where fate had gathered for decades on end, an impressive phalanx of great talents and different styles of fine art.

The creative world of Peter Mitchev is realistic, but only at first sight - it is full of human gestures and faces, but it does not have anything in common with the portrait painting.

It involves contours and details, depicting or more accurately - symbolizing spiritual states, strivings and dreams, originating from the infinity and eternity of human existence.

His canvases are pierced by the mystery of life, but there is nothing mysterious in them. The idea of the eternal woman, the man, trying to befriend her, and the philosophy of the deepest communion between people - the communion of love - is predominant in them. His women characters even when alone, are not lonesome - the gracefulness of their bodies, the elongated instruments they play on, their eyes - everything suggests an expectation that most probably will come true.

I do not aim an interpretation of the creative world of Peter Mitchev.

I would like only to testify that he is an exceptional representative of the Bulgarian plastic culture. The coloring of his art is so diverse, tolerant and unlimited, as his views of a contemporary person are. Peter Mitchev belongs to Bulgaria, that had created him spiritually, but at the same time he belongs to the world through the universal character of his modern art. His paintings are naturally addressed to all people regardless of their national or religious affiliation
